new blog

1. What would you do the same next quarter that you did this quarter? (notes, attendance, attentativeness, organization,.......etc.)  takes notes and show up to class...

2. What would you do differently next quarter that you did this quarter?
try my hardest to stay on top of things

3. How does Mr. Fournier's grade compare to the one you feel you deserve? Elaborate on why you feel this way.
I mean my grade is the way it is b/c i didnt turn in assignments.. its my own fault

4. What part of the subject of algebra did you become best at?
functions

5. What part(s) do you need to work on? How are you going to do that before it is too late?
word problems and a little bit more review on some things so i can be more familiar with it

6. Keeping time & subject material out of the equation (since there is no control of that), what would you like to see Mr. Fournier do differently that would help you next quarter?

I like how the class isn't all about mathh, so i really can't complain about blogs and stuff because i rather do this than math problems.. i just don't like the two combination's at once because it gets confusing and i get unorganized

7. Imagine you were calling your friend who is a year younger and going to take this course next year. Explain to them in 25 words or less how to succeed in this course.

pay attention and always remember what the teacher say

8. Write a summary of the four projects that you did this quarter. (what were they, what type of math did you need to know for each, what math did you learn on the project, how does it relate to real life............etc.)
bell curve, it was alot to do  in only a short period of time, and the other projects were okay but i rather do solo work because its harder to stay organized in groups because people aren't responsible.

9. Find some else's blog and leave an insightful comment on one of their postings.
i haven't got any one else on my blog list yet

sep 24th Fridays plan blog post

1. How did you approach the class this week vs. last week?....did you change anything? not really almost everything is just review

2. What are the benefits of using technology to learn vs. the standard classroom that we grew up to?

technology is alot faster and more organized

3. Think about the program Wolfram that I linked over to you OR think about your graphing calculators. What are advantages and disadvantages to having the answers provided for you all of the time in mathematics without having to figure them out? How could you use the answers to extend your understanding of mathematics further?

its really good that we have all these different utensils now instead of just having paper and pen

4. What is your favorite part about this class thus far and WHY?
its in the morrning and it goes by sort of fast

5. Imagine you are a teacher. If you were teaching the class, what changes would you make to the learning environment? What would you do to have your students get excited about math?

give out more worksheets instead of using edmodo because it would be faster

6. What are the 5 steps to solving equations?
mulitiply, divide, add, substract,

7. Why do mathematicians show their steps when solving formulas?
to prove their answer

8. What are some common mistakes that you make when solving equations/formulas?
dont show work

9. How do you find the correct answer of an equation by looking at a graph?
find the x,y and the slope

my grades..

What were your goals for school at the beginning of this year? passing this class

What can you do to keep your grade up? turn in homework and other assignments
Are you doing everything you can to achieve the goals that you set for yourself at the beginning of the year?i keep forgetting to do the assignments
What did you learn this week in class?it was sort of like review with all the inequality stuff.
How could you take the Little/Big Giant lesson and apply the idea to the real world? not sure
Do you feel you understand everything that we covered?yes
If you did not understand something in class or were finding yourself making mistakes, what opportunities did you take for yourself to learn the material? (learned at home on the internet, asked a friend, practiced some more......)

i really don't understand how edmodo works that well because i keep forgetting to check it and finding assignments, i dont see why we just dont do worksheets instead  and save time and it more easier to keep track of

What grade would you give yourself this week?  A+++++ What grade would you give your teachers this week? F+

2nd blog

What did you like/dislike about this project?it should of been an easy projectt because of all the roles we had in a group.
What did you find challenging about learning this way?nothing
Were there opportunities for you to learn inequalities?yeah it was pretty easy
Do you feel that you took advantage of the opportunities to learn? yes i did
Thinking back on your project, what would you keep the same and what would you do differently? the poster was good but we just need to add a couple of more things like a bell curve , etc...
